Private Equity       Advisory       Financial Consulting

Marathon Financial Ventures, LP (MFV) is an investment partnership focused primarily on equity investments in private and micro-cap banks and thrifts.  MFV’s initial capital call took place in January 2007.  The Partnership was fully invested as of March 2009.  The lock-up period for MFV’s capital is eight years from the Partnership’s inception.

MFV was formed largely in anticipation of problems engendered by the largest credit bubble in U.S. history.  The Partnership expects to take advantage of deep value opportunities in recapitalized depository institutions and otherwise healthy depository franchises selling at distressed prices.

Nick Becker, a veteran bank and thrift investor and Managing Partner of Becker Investments, is a Member of the General Partner of MFV.
